| Q:
|
Will
I be the only person who is not in PERFECT shape? I'm
probably not buff enough to come to camp. |
| A:
|
Most
campers are normal, everyday people who are frustrated
with the lack of results they get or are looking for new
motivation. You will fit in perfectly, whatever your size,
shape, or level of fitness. |

|
Q:
|
Will
I lose weight at camp? |
|
A:
|
Most
people do lose from 2-5 pounds during their stay at
FITCAMP. That is not our goal, however. We set you up
with a program that allows you to hit the ground running
when you return home. In the weeks and months that follow
camp you will lose weight and body fat, tone up,and
enjoy renewed interest and motivation in your fitness
program. |

Q:
|
What's the difference between
deluxe and dorm style housing? |
|
A:
|
Deluxe
is like a hotel room with two people sharing a room
with a bath.
Dorm style is cabins, bunk-style, funky, fun, G.I. Jane.
4-6 women per cabin.
Separate shower and bath facilities just across from
the cabins. |
| |
|
|
Q:
|
Which is better? |
|
A:
|
Both
are fun. Depends on your personal style. Deluxe accommodations
are more limited, however, so you need to book early. |
| |
|
|
Q:
|
What
do I bring to camp? |
|
A:
|
When
you officially register you will get a list of suggested
items telling you everything you need to pack. |
| |
|
|
Q: |
How do I get to camp? |
|
A:
|
If
you' re flying in, book your own cheapest airfare (or
call Sandy Garcia at 310/978-4117; SGARCIA10@socal.rr.com).
Plan to arrive at Los Angeles Int'l Airport (LAX)a day
before camp so that Monday, June 3 is not a full travel
day. Once you reach the baggage claim area begin to
look for the Holiday Inn LAX shuttle bus which will
take you to the hotel there. You will be on a list to
receive the special FITCAMP rate (about per person,
dbl. occ). At 7A.M. Monday morning you will get on the
FITCAMP shuttle bus just outside the hotel, which will
take you directly to camp, where you will stay for the
remainder of the week. Wear workout clothes on the bus
because once you arrive at camp and get checked in,
the fitness fun begins. |

|
Q:
|
I'm
flying in. Do I need a rental car? |
|
A: |
No. |
| |
|
|
Q:
|
What
if I'm driving in? |
|
A:
|
Plan
to arrive by 8A.M. Monday, June 3. We will mail you
a map to camp when you sign up. |
| |
|
|
Q:
|
When
should I book a flight back on Friday, June 7. |
|
A:
|
Any
flight that departs LAX after 4PM will work fine. |
| |
|
|
Q:
|
If
I stay over for a Saturday night I get a much cheaper
fare. Can I check into the airport hotel on Saturday,
June 1? |
|
A:
|
Absolutely.
The inexpensive rate we've gotten for you there allows
for you to arrive early, spend Sunday exploring the
LA area if you'd like, and still save money. There will
be others headed to camp for you to meet and explore
with. We will provide you with a list of fun places
to see and do with a short cab ride from the airport
hotel. |
| |
|
|
Q:
|
I'd
like to stay an extra day or so after the camp to visit
LA. What do you suggest? |
|
A:
|
We
can book you a room at the Holiday Inn LAX at our rate
and you can use that as a base of post-camp operations.
Or we can suggest other hotels and things for you to
do after camp is over. |
| |
|
|
Q:
|
Do
I need any money at camp other than the regular camp
fees? |
|
A:
|
We
have a pro shop with T-shirts and hats and stuff. You
can charge things there or pay cash. We have massages
and facials available for reasonable fees. You will
need cash for spa services if you desire them. These
are options, however. |
