Debbie Rocker is a world-record holder and a fitness revolutionary whose fitness philosophy stresses mind over muscle. Most recently she is the founder of The Ride by Debbie Rocker in Sherman Oaks, Calif., the first exercise studio pairing indoor cycling with yoga.
Rocker is one of the developers of "spinning," a high-intensity cardiovascular workout that became a ?90s phenomenon and a staple in gyms across the country. She has been motivating and training people of all ages, shapes and sizes (including such celebrities as Demi Moore and Rod Stewart) to use fitness to change their lives, as well as their bodies.
Rocker began her career as a competitive swimmer and NSTA circuit tennis player. In 1988 she set the world record for transcontinental tandem cycling, which she continues to hold.
